Princess was moved to a second foster home when the first one didn't work out due to cats, birds, and other dogs. She NEEDS to be an only pet and Underdog prefers a retired couple as she loves to be sharing the chair or couch with her humans as much as possible and will sit by the window or door for them to return home when they go out. She has energy, is smart and playful, and really loves being beside her foster grandfather the best! Her tongue hangs off to the side of her mouth 24/7 which makes her even more adorable and silly! She is a total lovebug with people but is not fond of cats, birds, and barely tolerates her foster canine brothers and sisters. Princessa was her name assigned to her by the shelter but her current foster Mom calls her Princess Abby so she will respond to Princess or Abby. She will make a perfect family member for a retired couple that are used to having a pet as part of their household. She seems to be drawn to older men ( maybe because they sit still more) as she wants to be in a lap or beside someone as much as she can. This sweet girl deserves a loving home! Princess is completely house trained, fully vetted, spayed and ready for her furever home! Her adoption fee is $300. All UnderDogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm checked, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Applicants are subject to a home visit, and veterinary references will be checked. Please include a vet reference (including phone number) when applying online. Our application process: FIRST, an application must be approved for adoption from our rescue. SECOND, we determine whether the dog that has been applied for is a "good match" for the household that wants to adopt him/her. We take into consideration the dog's activity level, compatibility with other members of the household (human and other pets), etc. If your application has been approved, but the dog you applied for is no longer available, please take the time and look over our adoptable dogs again.
