Lola was rescued from the Miami streets in April xxxx and taken to a high kill shelter. Because she had mammary tumors, her owners probably could not afford the surgery required to remove them and so put her out. Underdog Rescue saved her and she had the needed surgery right away. The vet thinks she is 7+ years old, does not hear very well and has dry eyes. She gets drops twice a day to help with dry eyes. Lola weighs 14 pounds, but she is not a lap dog, so would guess she did not get much human interaction in her prior life. However, she does love to walk so I take her out two or three times a day; she walks very slow and would be so great with a senior person. And she does love to eat!! In almost 3 months she has never had an accident in the house. She is sweet and an easy girl to have around.. We get her onto her back and with a brush, rub her belly ...and she wiggles and squirms with happiness ... makes us laugh. She is funny and likes to lay in the toy basket on top of all the toys!! Just look at that face!!! Lola's adoption fee is $150. All UnderDogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm checked, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Our application process: FIRST, an application must be approved for adoption from our rescue. SECOND, we determine whether the dog that has been applied for is a "good match" for the household that wants to adopt him/her. We take into consideration the dog's activity level, compatibility with other members of the household (human and other pets), etc. If your application has been approved, but the dog you applied for is no longer available, please take the time and look over our adoptable dogs again.
