This is Layah. She is a Chihuahua and terrier mix. She is a beautiful white and smoky gray color, with silky hair and weighs 12 pounds. This is her 2nd time with Underdog due to a change in her familys lifestyle. She is two to three years-old, so is still playful. She loves to give kisses and snuggle up close to watch TV and sleep. When she is real happy her tail wags in a circular motion. She loves to chase things, so she would not be good with cats or birds. She is house trained, crate trained, and has learns good socialization skills while with her former family. She is protective of her family, so she would bite if she thought they were in danger. She enjoys the companionship of other dogs very much (and enjoyed the dog park with her former family), but she does want to be lead female dog, so either her new home needs to have male dogs and/or a passive female. She also can climb chain link fence when chasing squirrels, so she is being trained for an invisible fence. She so much wants to be loved. Her adoption fee is $150 All UnderDogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm checked, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Our application process: FIRST, an application must be approved for adoption from our rescue. SECOND, we determine whether the dog that has been applied for is a "good match" for the household that wants to adopt him/her. We take into consideration the dog's activity level, compatibility with other members of the household (human and other pets), etc. If your application has been approved, but the dog you applied for is no longer available, please take the time and look over our adoptable dogs again.
